February and March Recap

I can’t believe it is almost April and Spring has definitely sprung here in the Charlotte area as noted by the yellow haze of pollen on outside surfaces.

Thank you for joining us in February, we loved hearing about Rachael’s journey into art quilts. She has some amazing pieces. We also shared lots of upcoming quilt shows and evetns.

On March 15th, we hosted our first Sit & Sew of the year. It was a small group but great conversation was had and fidget quilts created!

During our March meeting, we were joined by Rachel Busby, Board Member and Volunteer at Upcycle Arts. The center is Charlotte’s first creative reuse space. Rachel shared how the center came to be, what they takes as donations and items they have availilbe for purchase and classes available to take. Our last event for March, was the Tilted Tiles Workshop by NC quilter, Charles Cameron. It was a great day, spent learning about improv and color. Those who participated we can’t wait to see your quilts during Show & Tell.
